Tasty Tips and Tricks

Our dishes all come labeled with heating instructions, however, you may find some of the tips below helpful. Just let us know if you have additional questions!

PLACE IT ON A PAN!

Our dishes all come in foil pans which can go straight into your oven. However, please place your casserole and other items on a baking pan. This will help with stability while pulling a hot dish out of the oven and catch any drips that may occur.

WANT TO FREEZE YOUR CASSEROLE?

Go for it! When you're ready to enjoy your casserole, let it thaw overnight in your refrigerator. Some of our heavier casseroles may take up to 24 hours to thaw completely.

FORGOT TO THAW?

Don't panic! You can still bake your casserole, just allow for about double the cooking time. Keep an eye on it, some dishes may need to be covered with foil so they don't get too brown and crispy.

COVERED OR UNCOVERED?

The label will tell you whether to bake your dish covered or uncovered. For uncovered, just take off the clear plastic lid. Easy peasy. For covered, remove the plastic lid and re-cover with a piece of foil. Still pretty easy!

ARE WE THERE YET?

Please follow our baking instructions, but keep in mind that all ovens vary slightly. Cook casseroles until they are lightly browned and bubbly around the edges. If your dish appears to be browning too quickly, just cover loosely with foil.

BUT MOM, I WANT IT NOW!

Yeah, me too Buddy. But it's best to let your casserole rest for 5-10 minutes. This will help it set up for easier serving. Patience is a virtue!
